Are the words you are using making yourself out to be a hostage in your life? On today’s SoundBeat podcast episode I share how over the past many months I have been portraying myself in my mind as a prisoner in circumstances I was not thrilled about by the words I was saying over and over. I share the empowerment and liberation I have felt by changing the phrase “I have to” to “I choose to”. I examine how the words “I have to” may denote shirking responsibility for a circumstance or avoidance of putting in the work necessary to make a change.
Listen and be inspired to examine our word choice, identify if there is an underlying reason why we are using the words “I have to”, and replace them with words that demonstrate to ourselves that we are the chooser and decider of our lives.
